Products like gold and jewellery, high fashion, electronics, and carpets and handicrafts can be bought for amazing deals that are unmatchable anywhere else in the world.
Carpets & Rugs
Dubai is also one of the best places, outside of Iran, to buy Persian carpets. A wide variety of carpets are available year round and the quality is judged by the type of dyes used, the number of knots, size as well as the family name of the makers of the carpet. The carpets from Iran are generally prices higher than those from Kashmir and Turkey. Apart from carpets, you can even find some lovely Turkish kilims, Turkoman, Kashmiri and Afghan rugs.

Al Wasl Park
Al Wasl Park is known for being a small family park with a children’s play area and many convenient shaded areas for more relaxing siesta time. Located off Al Wasl road right behind the Iranian Hospital, it is easily accessible since it’s not so far from many residential areas.
Al Mamzar Park
A relatively large park, Al Mamzar Park offers a mix of barbecue sites and private chalets for rent, a swimming pool and snack bars. A shuttle train and piped oriental music are few attractions that can be enjoyed on the green patchy picnic areas.
Creekside Park
Known to be a very large family oriented park with many children's play areas, train, walking and jogging paths, barbecue sites, amphitheatre, an information booth, an 18-hole mini golf course, 3 jetties for fishing and a few exit points for abras. |

Sports
Dubai has ample of sports centers built in accordance with international requirements, to meet the ever increasing development in that Emirate. Old sports are given prominence in Dubai, such as camel and horse races, and there is The Dubai Marine Club which organizes a large number of international competitions in addition to boat to races, and also many Golf and tennis playgrounds where international competitions are held. There are many institutions and schools as well as social, scientific cultural and sport clubs, in addition to a large number of parks which constitute an excellent outlet as far a residents are concerned.
Mosques
Grand Mosque
The Grand Mosque Dubai is counted among one of the largest mosques in UAE. It consists of 45 small domes in addition to 9 large ones boasting stained glass panels, sand-colored walls and wooden shutters, making it a distinguished landmark and important place of worship. Non-Muslims are not permitted to enter the mosque, but can go to see and take a few pictures of the mosque and its exceptionally beautiful minaret.
Jumeirah Mosque
The Jumeirah Mosque is a dominant landmark of Dubai city. Considered to be one of the most attractive mosques in Dubai, the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding organizes visits to the Jumeirah Mosque for non-Muslims, aimed at promoting cultural understanding and first-hand experience as an insight to the Islamic religion.
